Our present life

We are currently living in Manteca, California away from the cold winters of Chicago. We moved to California almost 4 years ago and started this blog in an attempt to keep in touch with our family and friends in Chicago or elsewhere. We miss everyone from the midwest but we love those who have become part of our life in California. Kevin is a teacher at Ripon Christian High. He also coaches girls volleyball and soccer and stays busy playing the sports he loves as well. Janey is a nurse 2 days a week and a mom the rest. She works at DMC on the pediatrics floor. Mason (5) and Talen (2) are growing daily and loving life! Enjoy our blog and follow us if you like!

Train Station

On the 16th Kevin had the day off from school, so we decided to take a trip to the train museum in Sacramento. It was our first trip to the museum and most likely not our last. We had a great time. The boys loved exploring all of the trains. They both especially loved the area with the Thomas train tables.

I also posted a picture of Talen in his cast. Although he did pretty well with it, we are very glad to have it off! Bath time is much easier and a lot more fun now that he can splash:)

We're back!!!!

It's been way too long since we've updated this blog - so in keeping with New Year's resolutions.... here's mine! I won't try to make up for all the time we didn't write, but instead I will fill you in on what's been happening recently. Our very active family has been busy lately but enjoying our lives here in the valley.

Talen had his surgery the day after his First b-day and has done very well. He is such a trooper! His hand continues to heal. Lately you will see him with a glove on 23 hours a day to help minimze the scaring that is a possible side effect.
Mason just visited preschool today and is very, very excited to start next fall. We stay busy with bible study/story hour, trips to the library, and various play dates with friends we have made here. Also, the boys go to Nana's house two days a week while I get to work with sick kids at DMC. Kevin is enjoying his job and rcently has started planning chapels at
RC. He is going to be coaching girls soccer this spring as well.

I plan to write once every week/2 weeks so please follow our blog. God bless!
