Our present life

We are currently living in Manteca, California away from the cold winters of Chicago. We moved to California almost 4 years ago and started this blog in an attempt to keep in touch with our family and friends in Chicago or elsewhere. We miss everyone from the midwest but we love those who have become part of our life in California. Kevin is a teacher at Ripon Christian High. He also coaches girls volleyball and soccer and stays busy playing the sports he loves as well. Janey is a nurse 2 days a week and a mom the rest. She works at DMC on the pediatrics floor. Mason (5) and Talen (2) are growing daily and loving life! Enjoy our blog and follow us if you like!

A few more things we did in June

We got a little carried away with trips this month, but they were all so fun we had to do them all! Our next trip was to Monterey to stay with our friends for a few nights at their beach house. The kids had a great time as did the parents. It was a nice relaxing trip (well, as relaxing as can be with 6 kids under 6 years old:) We spent some time golfing and at the beach.  On our way home we made a quick stop at the monterey aquarium which was lots of fun as well. Thanks Kevin and Lynsday, we had a blast with you guys!

The week after Monterey we got to see our friends Oliver and Andra from Chicago. It was so great to catch up with them and hear how God is using them in Chicago. The boys, my mom, and I also went up to Santa Cruz for a few days while Kevin and Oliver were at High camp. We had fun at the beach and got a taste of Mt. Hermon for a day as well. It was great to get fed the word for a day and a half, I wish we could have stayed longer.

Uncle Nate visits!

Our Second adventure in June started the day we left Lake Tahoe when we got to pick up Uncle Nate from the airport. This made our goodbyes to Lake Tahoe a little bit easier.  The boys absolutely love their uncle Nate and we had a blast with him here.  The first night he was here we took him to see the Giants play the Cubs. We left Talen at home since it was a late game, but Mason got to come with.  When we got to the game we watched batting practice for awhile and one of the coaches threw a foul ball towards us. Uncle Nate reached out his glove and caught it and gave it to Mason!  Mason held on to that ball tightly all night long.  We think Nate might have clenched the title for "favorite uncle" with that act - sorry Rich!  The next day the boys went to Yosemite since I had to work.  And they also drove up to San Francisco for a little hiking.  It was great to catch up with Nate again.
